Our Story

In 1946, a 15-year-old immigrant with grit and an eye for design started installing store window displays. That teenager, William C. Vriens, Sr., would go on to found Modern Display Service. This would lay down the foundation and launch a legacy for Modern Expo & Events.

What began out of a rusty 1937 Plymouth station wagon has grown into a full-service expo and event partner with national recognition and a wide range of clients across the country.

Nearly a century later, we still operate with the same work ethic, creativity, and attention to detail. Our team works with fierce enthusiasm to redefine what it means to work with an expo and events service provider.
